Leather album page with the photograph titled, 'Secrets of the Night.' it is a bronze of a Shoshone Indian with the remark, "This Indian has been waiting a long time before his fire on a mountain top for a message from the shadow world or sand hills. The owl which is the ghost bird, or messenger from the other world, has finally come to him and is whispering its secrets of the night."

A leather album page with a photograph of a bronze bust of an Indian man. Remarks about the photograph include, "Sleeping Thunder was a chief of the Bloods, a tribe belonging to the Blackfoot confederation and living near the Canadian line. He was a good friend of Charlie's who lived with the tribe for a time. The Chief wanted him to marry and remain with them. This was in 1888 and Charlie said he was one of the finest types of Indian he ever knew."

Remarks for the photograph include, "this Indian is a 'Sun Priest,' or commonly called 'Medicine Man,' as none but one favored by Sun would be allowed to smoke the sacred buffalo pipe and pray to the spirit of the buffalo which he is doing and offering the pipe to the skull, or spirit and at the same time begging him to send buffalo to his people as they are starving."
