An Accurate Map of North and South Carolina With Their Indian Frontiers. Shewing [sic] in a distinct manner all the Mountains, Rivers, Swamps, Marshes, Bays, Creeks, Harbours, Sandbanks, and Sounding on the Coasts; with The Roads and Indian Paths, as well as The Boundary or Provincial Lines, The Several Townships and other divisions of the Land in Both the Provinces; the whole from Actual Surveys by Henry Mourzon and Others

American, British, and French forces relied on this map as they fought across colonial boundaries and Native lands. This large map held the most accurate picture of the Carolinas during the Revolutionary War. Drawn from land surveys, it includes many natural features. It also shows the territories of the Cherokee and Muscogee (Creek) and the trade paths connecting these Nations and the southeastern British colonies. The text at the bottom of the map shows it was published on May 30, 1775, around the time news spread of the first major battle of the war, the Battle of Lexington and Concord.
