First half of letter by Nancy C. Russell to Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Kelley; tells Kelley that the pictures and bronzes are to be shipped soon, and he is welcome to try on in his house if he would like. Handwritten on both front and back (TU2009.39.917.1-TU2009.39.917.2).

[1] [handwritten] Mr. C.F. Kelly Sept 15, 1925 Big Fork Mont. Apgar, Mont. My dear Mr. Kelly and Mrs. Kelly When we return from Pendelton[sic] Sunday next The pictures and bronzes will be packed to be shipped to there of you and Mrs. Kelly are interested in one or more of these painting and would like to have an appointment ^of^ to see it in the place you have for a Russell picture, Chas and I would be happy to send any of the work on so you can live with it for a time then you will be sure when the decision is made ^that^ it is the thing you wanted. I would suggest sending the lighting picture we use the picture would show to better [handwritten vertically] advantage in conflicting eights- we will be glad to know your pleasure- Chas-Jack and I want to tell you what a happy time we had at your home, I wasam so sorry I did not see you again to tell you but some how I think you know Sincerely

The Homer and Helen Britzman collection consists of over 10,000 objects belonging to Charles M. Russell including letters, drawings, personal belongings, photos, and other memorabilia. Homer Britzman worked extensively with Charles Russell’s wife, Nancy, to write Russell’s biography. Chain of custody: Nancy Russell, Homer and Helen Britzman, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Amon Carter (inventoried collection in 1997), Gilcrease Management Trust (will become property of TU Special Collections if management agreement between TU and the City of Tulsa is severed).
