Transcript

April 29, 1929. Dear Mr. Maule: For fear you have forgotten the conversation we had when I was in New York City, that I would like to have number one of the de luxe edition and that I had promised some of the people whose names I have sent in to you that they should have the books very close to number one, this is for your record. I would like to have you reserve for these friends of mine the first fifteen and I will give you their names and addresses >[handwritten] places> later, - just so that those fifteen would not be promised to other purchasers. All good wishes for the progress of the book. Sincerely, NCR:ED
