March 22nd, 1916. Mr. Benjamin Zoppo, 3002 Park Avenue, New York City. My dear Mr. Zoppo, To understand our talk of the other morning regarding the reproducing of some of Mr. Russell’s models in bronze, we agreed on the prices as follows : -- “The Dancer: (Indian dancing) ashtray, lots of six or more $23. each. “Indian Family” Bookends, lots of six or more $23. a pair “The Wolf” ashtray, lots of twelve or more- $10. each. “Oh! Mother” small bear ashtray, lots of twelve or more- $10. each “Spirit of the Buffalo” (Indian holding pipe to Buffalo skull) lots of twelve or more-$10. each. “Snake Priest” (Indian fanning a snake) ashtray – lots of twelve or more-$10. each. “Nature’s Cattle (Buffalo family) lots of three- $30. each. “Buffalo Bookends” – lots of three or more $25. a pair. “Small Mountain Sheep” – lots of six or more $6. each. I trust your health is much better and just as soon as you are able to do the work you are to let the Folsom Galleries know and they have a large order awaiting you, which I am most anxious to have turned out at the earliest possible moment. At the gallery they will explain to you the shades of bronze we desire. I want them all in the dull green shades of bronze. Very truly yours,

The Homer and Helen Britzman collection consists of over 10,000 objects belonging to Charles M. Russell including letters, drawings, personal belongings, photos, and other memorabilia. Homer Britzman worked extensively with Charles Russell’s wife, Nancy, to write Russell’s biography. Chain of custody: Nancy Russell, Homer and Helen Britzman, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Amon Carter (inventoried collection in 1997), Gilcrease Management Trust (will become property of TU Special Collections if management agreement between TU and the City of Tulsa is severed).
