Transcript

July 28, 1931. Mr. J. Robert Atkinson, 739 North Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, California. Dear Mr. Atkinson: Your letter of July 6th with enclosure was gratifying. I am happy that you are keeping in mind what we both feel is our duty to help straighten out an unnecessary tangle. I am enclosing a copy of a letter which is self-explanatory. Also, I am sending clippings to replace the ones you gave to Mrs. Bielenberg. I am glad to know that there is a pos- sibility of you and Mrs. Atkinson driving to Montana this summer. If you do come and can make me visit before the first of September, I should be most happy to have you. It would be fine to talk things over with you and Mrs. Bielenberg together. This is not a bit like the cattle coun- try but you would love the lake and the woods, the cool and the smells of nature. Sincerely,
