Transcript

725 Michigan Blvd., Pasadena, California. May 15th, 1937. Dr. Rodney Houston, B e l t o n, Montana. Dear “Doc”: It is very doubtful that I will be able to come to the Lake again this summer and it is a shame for that place of mine to stand there for the mice and rats to make a home in. My physician has not given me the verdict but I fear my heart will never all[o]w me to climb around much or take the responsibility of as large a place as Bull Head Lodge. It has occurred to me that as you contact more people, it is possible you might know of a buyer for my place. I don’t suppose the Government has any money at this time to put into property in the National Parks but you would know that too and if the com- mission would be interesting to you, I would like to hear from you. Please consider this confidential as I would rather the people who live around Apgar would not know that I am thinking about selling. My kindest regards to you and your nice little wife and I hope some day to go fishing with you down the river. Sincerely,
