Typed letter on lined paper to Mr. Clark Bumgarner dated September 25, 1928 asking for Mr. Bumgarner to make a payment with interest to reduce the note to $1,000.

September 25, 1928. Mr. Clark Bumgarner Fife, Montana Dear Mr. Bumgarner: I had hoped to see you while in Montana but I was unable to get out to the ranch and of course you were not in Great Fals [sic] while I was there. This is just regarding your note. I would appreciate it very much if you could make a payment with interest to reduce the note to $1,000. at this time. I will send the note to Mr. Church. Please let me hear from you. Sincerely, MGS.

The Homer and Helen Britzman collection consists of over 10,000 objects belonging to Charles M. Russell including letters, drawings, personal belongings, photos, and other memorabilia. Homer Britzman worked extensively with Charles Russell’s wife, Nancy, to write Russell’s biography. Chain of custody: Nancy Russell, Homer and Helen Britzman, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Amon Carter (inventoried collection in 1997), Gilcrease Management Trust (will become property of TU Special Collections if management agreement between TU and the City of Tulsa is severed).
