Typed letter to H.N.[sic] Maule, editor, 'The Frontier' dated October 29, 1925 suggest that Maule could make reproductions for an article of some of Charles M. Russell's work when they (the author of letter) is in New York City with an exhibit.
October 29 1925 Mr. H. N. Maule, Editor The Frontier, Garden City, N.Y. Dear Mr. Maule: A letter of yours dated June 4th regarding reproducing some of Mr. Russell’s paintings in an article received. We expect to be in New York with a collection of pictures in December and at that time it may be pos- sible that you could get a couple of plates made from the pictures while we are there, if you are still interested in doing the article. The Homer and Helen Britzman collection consists of over 10,000 objects belonging to Charles M. Russell including letters, drawings, personal belongings, photos, and other memorabilia. Homer Britzman worked extensively with Charles Russell’s wife, Nancy, to write Russell’s biography. Chain of custody: Nancy Russell, Homer and Helen Britzman, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Amon Carter (inventoried collection in 1997), Gilcrease Management Trust (will become property of TU Special Collections if management agreement between TU and the City of Tulsa is severed).
