Handwritten letter front and back from Nancy C. Russell to Mr. Erwin S. Barrie dated October 13, 1928 about sending a box of six paintings and that she will arrive in New York City on the 23.

Trails End Oct 13th 1928 Grand Central Galleries. New York. Dear Mr. Barrie I am sending ^shipping^ to Budworth & Son on box of six paintings [telling?] with the instructions to deliver to your Gallery the painting when ever you call for them. They will expect to call ^hear^ from you when you are ready. I have also written Mrs. C.F. Kelley asking for the loan of their unfinished decoration and I you will call her at 907-5th ave [sic] I am sure she will send letter ^be willing^ to loan it. I hope to arrive in New York the evening of the 23rd. Sincerely, [signed]Nancy Russell

The Homer and Helen Britzman collection consists of over 10,000 objects belonging to Charles M. Russell including letters, drawings, personal belongings, photos, and other memorabilia. Homer Britzman worked extensively with Charles Russell’s wife, Nancy, to write Russell’s biography. Chain of custody: Nancy Russell, Homer and Helen Britzman, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Amon Carter (inventoried collection in 1997), Gilcrease Management Trust (will become property of TU Special Collections if management agreement between TU and the City of Tulsa is severed).
