From Nancy C. Russell to Mr. Harry Carr, April 19, 1932
Description
Typed letter from Nancy C. Russell to Mr. Harry Carr of the Los Angeles Times dated April 19, 1932 thanking him for the 'nice' article in 'The Lancer' and how interesting his references to 'our Indians and our neighbors, the Mexicans' as well as inviting him to Trail's End.
Pasadena, California. April 19, 1932. Mr. Harry Carr. c/o Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles, California. Dear Mr. Carr: I want to thank you for the nice article in “The Lancer” April 18th, 1932, about Charlie and his work. I watch your references to our Indians and our neighbors, the Mexicans, with very much interest. Charlie taught me a great deal about the Red Man of America. His love for and understanding of those people was great and you feel toward them much as he did. Our true Americans need friends like you. If you care to some time, I would love to have you come out here to Trail’s End and see the many little things Charlie made and gave to me which are not for sale nor for public exhibition but I believe you would enjoy the intimate knowledge Charlie has portrayed in these original wax and clay models. It is a little difficult to find my place – I am east of Pasadena. My tele- phone number is TErrace [sic] 1006 so if you plan to come some time, call me and I will direct you how to get here. I want to be here when you come. Sincerely yours,
