Typed letter from Nancy to Mr. Jerry W. Church dated October 20, 1928 thanking Church for the news clipping from the Leader concerning the progress on beautifying the memorial and that she is leaving for New York to work on the Book of Letters as well as having an exhibit which she hopes will cover her expenses.

October 20, 1928. Mr. I.W. Church, Ford Bldg., Great Falls, Mont. Dear Jerry: Thank you very much for the clipping from the Leader. I am always interested and happy that you are going to keep me informed about the progress of beautifying the little memorial. I am leaving for New York tonight to work on the Book of Letters and am having an exhibition that I hope will make my expenses while East. Kindest regards to you and yours. Sincerely, NCR:ED

The Homer and Helen Britzman collection consists of over 10,000 objects belonging to Charles M. Russell including letters, drawings, personal belongings, photos, and other memorabilia. Homer Britzman worked extensively with Charles Russell’s wife, Nancy, to write Russell’s biography. Chain of custody: Nancy Russell, Homer and Helen Britzman, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Amon Carter (inventoried collection in 1997), Gilcrease Management Trust (will become property of TU Special Collections if management agreement between TU and the City of Tulsa is severed).
