Great Falls, Jan 21 -1913 Mont Chas will brand art tomorrow and will turn the Lazy [brand symbol] over to you and you can throw them on to the ^[brand symbol]^ Tenefly range [illegible] the herd will not be to trail worn when they reach you. through it’s a long hard trail to cover and some of them may go tender but they by the time They are range broke to the Palisade hills ^I hope^ they wil be all ^Bueno^ waino If we cut your trail this winter or sight the smoke of your camp we will sure ride in – We have the frame and will let you know the day we ship the picture Kindest regards to the Macky family from the Russells

The Homer and Helen Britzman collection consists of over 10,000 objects belonging to Charles M. Russell including letters, drawings, personal belongings, photos, and other memorabilia. Homer Britzman worked extensively with Charles Russell’s wife, Nancy, to write Russell’s biography. Chain of custody: Nancy Russell, Homer and Helen Britzman, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Amon Carter (inventoried collection in 1997), Gilcrease Management Trust (will become property of TU Special Collections if management agreement between TU and the City of Tulsa is severed).
