November 1, 1927 Mrs. Nancy Russell, Trails End - 725 Michigan Blvd., Pasadena, California. Dear Mrs. Russell: AIR MAIL Please send us by return mail, prices on the paintings which you are sending, which are “for sale”. We will appreciate this information at once. Will you also please give us definite in- formation regarding size of editions in the case of each bronze – that is; whether they are unlimited or whether they are limited, and if limited just how many copies are in each edition. We have several clients who wish to make purchases but their decision will be dependent upon your reply. Yours very truly, [signed] Erwin S. Barrie ESB:S Manager.

The Homer and Helen Britzman collection consists of over 10,000 objects belonging to Charles M. Russell including letters, drawings, personal belongings, photos, and other memorabilia. Homer Britzman worked extensively with Charles Russell’s wife, Nancy, to write Russell’s biography. Chain of custody: Nancy Russell, Homer and Helen Britzman, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Amon Carter (inventoried collection in 1997), Gilcrease Management Trust (will become property of TU Special Collections if management agreement between TU and the City of Tulsa is severed).
