January 18, 1929 Mr. Frank Dudensing, Propr. Dudensing Galleries, 6 East 45th Street, New York City. Dear Mr. Dudensing: Replying to your letter of the 11th, Mrs. Charles M. Russell has returned to her home at 701 Michigan Boulevard, Pasadena, California. Mrs. Russell is a very dear friend of mine and I am the owner of the finest collection in the United States of Russell paintings. If there is any way in which I can be of further service to you please do not hesitate to call on me. It has long been my intention to drop in at your Galleries sometime. Should you ever have anything of Russell’s or Remington’s or any other worth while painter of the old Northwest, I would appreciate it if you would let me know. Very truly yours, Philip G. Cole, 470 Vanderbilt Ave. Brooklyn, New York. PGC: EG
