June 21, 1932. Mrs. Charles M. Russell, “Trail’s End”, 725 Michigan Blvd., Pasadena, Calif. Dear Mrs. Russell: Thank you for your letter of June 16th. We phoned the Douthitt Galleries about the three bronzes they did not send to us – “The Snake Priest”, “The Last Laugh”, and “Buffalo Dancers” - >[handwritten] Runner> and they explained that they had clients inter- ested in these pieces and I suggested that they write to you about it so that you would under- stand why they were not sent to us. Very truly yours, [signed] Gertrude R. Cummings Gertrude R. Cummings, Office Manager. C:H
