Transcript

725 Michigan Blvd., Pasadena, California. June 6th, 1935. Grand Central Art Galleries, Inc., 15 Vanderbilt Ave., New York, New York. Gentlemen: Attention: Mr. E. S. Barrie I recently received a check for $81.25 through the mail for the bronze ash tray “Oh, Mother What Is It”, which was listed as sold for $125.00. The selling price of this bronze is and always has been $150.00 and I have never authorized a reduction in the price of it. When you take 35% commission out of the $125.00, it is almost costing me money to have you sell the bronze. Why the 35% in the Grand Central Gallery? This was never charged before. I am enclosing a copy of the statement as I am sure an error has been made. Very truly yours, Encl.
