Transcript

September 17th, 1936 Mrs. Charles M. Russell Trail’s End 725 Michigan Blvd. Pasadena, Calif. Dear Mrs. Russell: Practically all of the best painters and sculptors in our Galleries are included in the Founder’s Show this year which is the biggest one we have had in six years. I feel we should have Charles Russell represented there also. For your information I wish to ad- vise all of our best artists are giving works worth from $500 to $2500 each and we pay them all alike, namely $175. They are glad to do this because it is an opportunity that comes once a year to help the Galleries. If you are willing we should like to take “Where the best of riders quit” or the Bronco Buster. We shall send you our check for $175 in full payment at once. Please wire ‘yes’ or no. Yours sincerely, [signed]Erwin S. Barrie Manager. ESB:K
