Transcript

Trail’s End, 725 Michigan Blvd., Pasadena, Calif. October 17th, 1936. Mr. Erwin S. Barrie, Grand Central Art Galleries 15 Vanderbilt Ave., New York City, New York. Dear Mr. Barrie: Your letter of October 2nd tells me you have finally consumated[sic] the sale of “Counting Coup” which I gave you permission last August to sell for less that the catalog price. I am having many inquiries about bronzes so we must keep the list price up because people who price the bronzes there some times come to the Studio here and our prices must agree. I think you still have quite a few Russell bronze on hand, and can send you another “Counting Coup” and “Where the Best of Riders Quit” to replace the ones just out of stock if you want them. I shall be glad to have you send me and up-to-date list of the Russell bronze in the Gallery to check with my record. Thank you. Very truly yours,
