Transcript

March 17th, 1936^7^ Mrs. Charles M. Russell, Trail’s End 725 Michigan Blvd. Pasadena, California Dear Mrs. Russell: I am buying paintings and bronzes for the 1937 Founder’s Show drawing and am anxious to have a piece that will represent Mr. Russell at his best and one which all of our lay members will be anxious to ac- quire. This will be beneficial for you and us. Practically all of the artists are giving us important works. We pay them all the same price, that is $175. Of course, as you know, the work will be reproduced in our Year Book which will be sent all over the country. May we have Mr. Russell’s bronze en- titled “Bucker and Buckaroo”? If so, we will send you check at once for $175. Thanking you for an early reply, I am Yours sincerely, [signed] Erwin S. Barrie Manager. ESB:K
