Transcript

May 6, 1937 Mrs. Nancy C. Russell, Trail’s End 725 Michigan Blvd. Pasadena, Calif. Dear Mrs. Russell: Your note of March 22 has been unanswered owing to my absence from the city. I am sorry that you do not feel that you can let us have a bronze for the Founder’s Show as nearly every other artist that we approached has granted our request. I am afraid that we can do nothing about the gallery here in the city but would suggest that you give your claim to some local lawyer, and I think that would be the proper way to handle it. With kindest regards, I am Very truly yours, [signed] Erwin S. Barrie ESB:B Manager
