725 Michigan Blvd., Pasadena, California. July 29th, 1937. Mr. E. S. Barrie, Grand Central Art Galleries 15 Vanderbilt Avenue., New York, New York. Dear Mr. Barrie: To date I have not received a reply to my letter of May 29th in regard to the “Museum Discount” shown on your statement of May 5th to Mrs. Russell. The undersigned is taking care of Mrs. Russell’s work and would appreciate being informed in regard to the discount referred to. Mrs. Russell ad- vises me the 33-1/3% commission deducted on this bronze is according to her understanding but she does not know the reason for deducting the additional discount of $30.00. Will you please advise me. Thank you. Very truly yours,

The Homer and Helen Britzman collection consists of over 10,000 objects belonging to Charles M. Russell including letters, drawings, personal belongings, photos, and other memorabilia. Homer Britzman worked extensively with Charles Russell’s wife, Nancy, to write Russell’s biography. Chain of custody: Nancy Russell, Homer and Helen Britzman, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Amon Carter (inventoried collection in 1997), Gilcrease Management Trust (will become property of TU Special Collections if management agreement between TU and the City of Tulsa is severed).
