Transcript

October 2, 1939 Mrs. Charles M. Russell, 725 Michigan Blvd., Pasadena, Calif. Dear Mrs. Russell: Thank you for your letter just received. I am really very much puzzled by your reply. We have a client who really is interested and I think there is a very good chance of selling him the entire col- lection and I am quite sure that he is not someone that you or your friend have already been working on. We have sold him a great many paintings lately and I feel that if we could act quickly we might really make an important sale of Charlie’s work but, of course, if you don’t cooperate with us it will probably fall through. Can’t you send us the photographs and list of prices and let us see what we can do? If we don’t accomplish anything there won’t be any harm done. With kindest wishes, Yours truly, [signed] Erwin S. Barrie Manager. ESB:RMM
