Transcript

520-521 Roosevelt Bldg. July 14th, 1927. Mrs. Charles M. Russell, Apgar, Montana. My dear Friend: Enclosed find check for $425.00 in payment for the Bill[sic] Rogers bronze which was delivered to Mrs. Robert C. Gillis, 907 West 28th Street, Los Angeles, California, and for which she paid $500.00. I sent Ed Borein a check for fifteen percent, or $75.00, and the enclosed check represents the balance. You had better make a memorandum of Mrs. Gillis’ address, for they are very wealthy people and we might sell them something when you get back to California. I am still in doubt about your address and am mailing you copy of this letter to Great Falls, Montana, so that you would have notice to what address the check had been sent in case Miss Wisler is correct in saying that your present address is Belton, Montana, and not Apgar, as you gave it to me. With kind regards, I am, Sincerely yours, [signed] Charles O. Middelton COM—rsp CHARLES O. MIDDLETON. Enclosure
