Transcript

January 29, 1929. Mrs. D. J. MacGilleray, 1117 First Ave. West, Spokane, Wash. Dear Mrs. MacGilleray: YYour [sic] does not in any way give me an oppor- tunity to assist you as you did not give me your prices or the price you wish to get on your pictures nor did you send me the photographs. If you will do this, I will do my best to help you. The reason I wrote as I did, it’s much better to understand before going into a business deal. I am offering to look at the photographs and I believe I could tell from those whether my client in the East would be interested or not. If you are willing to send me the photographs and give me your net price, I think I can tell you at once whether I can handle them and pay you what you ask and take a chance on making my commission form the purchaser. I hope I have not offended you and I trust you understand exactly what I’m trying to convey. I am looking forward to the photographs and will let you know by return air mail if I see them. Please give sizes and condition of the paint. Sincerely, NCR: ED air mail
