October 20, 1928. Mrs. E. M. MacGillivray,[sic] Treasure House Antiques, 1117 First Ave. West, Spokane, Wash. Dear Mrs. MacGillivray: Your letter of October 8 was forward- ed to me from Great Falls. I would be glad to see the original oil but am not personally buying any of Mr. Russell’s pictures but am trying to sell them. I have sold a number for other people and will take this photograph East with me as I am leaving tonight with a small exhibition of paintings and bronzes to be exhibited in New York and Boston. If I find someone who is interested in the photograph, I could get in touch with you. Please advise me as soon as possible the size of your canvas and what you want for the picture. You know if I exhibit it in a gallery, I have to pay 25% of the selling price, so please think of that when quoting your price. You can reach me in care of the Grand Central Art Galleries, 15 Vanderbilt Ave., New York City. I will be there until the 8th of November. I trust that I will be able to dis- pose of your picture for you. Sincerely, NCR:ED
