Transcript

June 23, 1930 Mrs. Chas. M. Russell, Bulls Head Lodge, Belton, Montana Dear Nancy: For your information I am enclosing you copies of letters sent to Mr. Lewis, concerning the fire insurance on his painting, and to Mr. Weadick, relative to the insurance you were taking care of on his three letters. This will inform you fully of both situations. In the case of Mr. Weadick, I wrote him May 31st as I told you I would, saying that the letters had been treturned to him three weeks before by you, that it had already cost you $60.00 for insurance, that you wished to have the matter off your mind, and we desired him to let us know as to the safe arrival of the letters in his hands. He has not given us any reply. I assume that the letters reached him safely, and just to clear the matter entirely I have written him as per carbon of our letter of today. I hope you have safely reached Lake McDonald, that you are all well and everybody happy. My regards to each one of the family. I started John for Helena yesterday morning, to stay with relatives there for a few weeks, if they will take care of him that long, and I hope to follow him up there within the next week or ten days. I will probably spend a week or so in Montana and then go on East to visit my mother, intending to get back here with John and little Virginia a bit ahead of your return. Yours sincerely, [signed] E.I. Holland EIH:k
