Transcript

[1] April 4th 1934 Dear Mrs Russell Thanks for your letter just received. I thought it was longer ago than 1914 when I saw your husbands pictures here in England- I had a great friend a cattle Rancher who knew your husband when he was at Great Falls Montana, I believe I am right as to the place, my friends name was [illegible] I should like to own a [2] picture by your husband as I was Cattle Ranching [28] years ago in the Pecos Valley. how [illegible] perhaps I already told you this in my other letter. I wonder if you would be so very kind as to let me know how many of your husbands pictures were bought here in England & who had them, as I will be on the look out for them then, in case they ever come on sale, & you never know these times, when we are rich one week & poor the next. I have not had the photo yet that you sent, I like the Cowboy pictures best – I have a print of 2 cowboys after a steer charging down a slope by your husband. Yours Truly [signed ] H. Clark
