Jan 23rd 1914. Gleichew.P.O. Dear Russell. In regards to the Indian Burial painting Does $1200 include Copyright. It looks like an awful lot of money these hard times.. ? Whatever price I don’t intend to pay cash. Am willing to pay in two or three installments with interest. I dont want to promise & not make good. Please let me know on copyright. What will copyright & all cost if not included. When will this be painted would like to have some idea when. Probably will be in Great Falls in February. The Homer and Helen Britzman collection consists of over 10,000 objects belonging to Charles M. Russell including letters, drawings, personal belongings, photos, and other memorabilia. Homer Britzman worked extensively with Charles Russell’s wife, Nancy, to write Russell’s biography. Chain of custody: Nancy Russell, Homer and Helen Britzman, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Amon Carter (inventoried collection in 1997), Gilcrease Management Trust (will become property of TU Special Collections if management agreement between TU and the City of Tulsa is severed).
