20th April, 1 9 2 1. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. M. Russell, 1724 S. Hobart Blvd., Los Angeles, California. My dear Mr. and Mrs. Russell: Your letter of April 19th, written to my brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Fairbanks., received and they have asked me to write you. They asked me to explain that on account of the severe illness of Mrs. Pickford they do not care to leave her in the evening. They are both anxious to see the paintings and models and hope at some future time convenient for[to] you arrangements can be made. The Homer and Helen Britzman collection consists of over 10,000 objects belonging to Charles M. Russell including letters, drawings, personal belongings, photos, and other memorabilia. Homer Britzman worked extensively with Charles Russell’s wife, Nancy, to write Russell’s biography. Chain of custody: Nancy Russell, Homer and Helen Britzman, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Amon Carter (inventoried collection in 1997), Gilcrease Management Trust (will become property of TU Special Collections if management agreement between TU and the City of Tulsa is severed).
