October 9, 1931. Mr. S. E. Schaudies 1219 Fourth Avenue, North, Great Falls, Montana. Dear Mr. Schaudies: I have written the Osborne Company regarding the use of the Lewis and Clark picture tell- ing them That[sic] I am willing that they should make prints for the memorial. You will probably hear from them very soon. Your report for the season of 1931 id[sic] certainly gratifying and I know that you are very happy for what has been accomplished. Each year there will be more interest and more work connected with the Memorial. Do I understand that you have written to Dr. Philip G. Cole, 551 Fifth Avenue, New York, and W. S. Hart, Newhall, California, thanking them for the Club committee have acknowledged the gift. Don’t you think it would be nice to send a newspaper clipping if there has been one which does it justice? The Memorial needs these men for friends. I have marked the little catalogue or order sheet where I do not quite understand. Isn’t the paper weight made from Mrs. Lincoln’s model? If so, it should have her name like the others. I marked under the Buffalo Skull your assurance of quality because the Skull has always stood for that with Charlie’s name. also, I have written the price - $500.00 – of the “War Dancers” on the list. I am enclosing the catalogue. When they are finiihed[sic], please send me a few. With kindest regards. Sincerely,
