Transcript

October 27 1925 Dr. Philip G. Cole, 8 Markwood Road, Forest Hills Gardens, Long Island, N. Y. Dear Dr. Cole: The Mount Helena picture is finished and I shall express it to you, so that you may have the first opportunity of studying it. I have not had it framed be- cause if you do care for it, it is possible the frame you would want would be different from what I would use. If you like the little paint- ing and wish to keep it, fine. If not, please let me know at once and hold the painting until I give you instructions as to what to do with it. I believe you are going to be much pleased with Charlie’s idea of the old mountain. I think you will also be pleased with the price of it as Charlie said $3000 would be satisfactory to him. You under- stand, if the picture goes into a gallery the commission has to be added to the price quoted to you. With kindest regards, Sincerely,
