Curatorial Remarks

Thomas Moran served on the executive committee for selecting work for the annual exhibit at the National Academy of Design in February 1889. That same month, Moran led a committee protesting the selection of American art for exhibition at the World's Fair to be held in Paris. See Anderson, Nancy K., et al. Thomas Moran.
