Memorandum from Cochrane regarding payment to Cooper and Pitchlynn, circa 1862
Description
A newspaper clipping discussing the payment to the Choctaw Nation under the eleventh and twelfth articles of the June 22, 1855, treaty. Then, the second section of the clipping gives the Wichita agent’s salary. The third section talks about relief funds for tribes due to failing crops and drought. There is also a separate memorandum included in which John T. Cochrane breaks down how much Cooper and Pitchlyn should be paid.
