Description

Petition from the alcalde mayor (sheriff). Regarding a conflict over water and religious rights between Captain don Juan ded Padilla from Mexicoo City, was an overseer of a hacienda that produced sugar, doña Barbara del Solar who leased land from him, and Captain don Gaspar Thomas de Riva,who lived on the hacienda. Calls for a notary and a court representative from Mexico City to remedy the situation. Two page document - incomplete from original file. Edges of the pages torn. Has the Seal of Carlos II - King from 6 November 1661 – 1 November 1700. Occurred in Zacualpan de Amilpas, Morelos.
