Dear Leigh: - It looks as tho I never would get around to answer your long letter of over a month ago, but I received it just as I was about to start down to Louisiana, goose, duck, & quail shooting so put it off until I got down there, & then got too busy. Fred, my brother, & I drove my car down thru Colo, rado [sic], New Mexico, Texas & Louisiana then hunted and fished for about 3 weeks & then came back by Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska & home. we had a fine trip, good [illegible - crossed out] roads, good hunting, and nice weather. while we were away they had quite a “gold rush” here at Cody. an old prospector found some pretty fair placer prospects on the east side of Hart Mountain, about 10 miles from Cody, and they have everything staked out all around Hart Mt. I was over today watching the old timers
