Mr. Will Richard, Taxidermist, Cody, Wyoming Dear Richard:

I am delighted at the idea of your going on a trip around the world. That will be a grand adventure, and a rare privilege.

I see by the paper that Mr. Vladami [sic][name appears to have been erased and retyped], successor to Alexander Dowey and head of the Zionist [original word was erased and replaced with Zionist] Cult, who declares that the earth is flat and has four corners - because the Bible says so - is going on a trip around the world also; there strikes one as being something inconsistent there - if he does not look out he might fall over the edge and then there would be hell to pay.

There is an Italian firm which is seeking treasure lost on sunken ships by means of a newly devised diving tube which will take a man down over four hundred feet into the dim depths, but who is going to invent a tube which will rescue Mr. Vladima [name appears to have been erased and retyped] after he falls over the edge of the world into hell?
