Letter from the Commissioner of Indian Affairs C. A. Harris to Chief John Ross reporting that the Senate has tabled Cherokee Memorial thereby supporting Executive Branch in carrying Treaty of 1835 into effect. On the reverse of this letter is a letter dated April 12, 1838 from Lewis Ross asking him to place affairs of Cherokee in better light before May 23. Single folded sheet of paper with handwritten text in ink on three pages. Folder 328
