Letter from Nat Fisher and 22 others near Maysville, Arkansas to Chief John Ross asking him to oppose removal of Colonel William A. Phillips as head of Indian Brigade. Attached is another letter from D. H. Ross to his uncle Chief John Ross. This concerns Colonel Weir's (Weer's) role in Colonel Phillips matter and family losses of property and by death. (Moulton). Single folded sheet of paper with handwritten text in ink on three sides. Folder 1177
