Curatorial Remarks Tulsans gathered at the Oklahoma State Capitol for a luncheon acknowledging the teenage pages from across the state. Also in attendance was Booker T. Washington High School when the basketball team won state title. Wayman Tisdale, as a student at BTW was also attendance. Abstract Collection consists of various materials collected by Eddie Faye Gates (February 5, 1934 - December 9, 2021) documenting her life and career as an educator, historian, author, and community activist, including photographs, recorded audiovisual oral histories, and manuscripts related to the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre and the history of Oklahoma, especially North Tulsa.
