Official document from the Canadian District Court office instructing Mr. William Roberson and Frank Vore to appraise the property and effects of the Jesse Foreman Estate, August 3, 1875
Mr. William Roberson and Frank Vore were instructed to proceed and appraise the property and effects of the Jesse Foreman, decd., Estate. The document ends with the statement, "A true return of your valuation make to this office." The instructions were given under the hand of Judge Abe Woodall. Calculations in pencil on recto. Order by Judge Abe Woodall to the sheriff of the Canadian District concerning John Hood's pistol, July 2, 1883
John Hood was charged with carrying a pistol unlawfully which was seized before the indictment. The case was brought before the Canadian District Court and the charges were not sustained. The judge ordered the sheriff to return John Hood's pistol to him. Folder 498

Abe Woodall was the judge of the District Court in the Canadian District of the Cherokee Nation. William West was the sheriff of the Canadian District of the Cherokee Nation. Order stated that James Crittenden was the rightful owner of the cow and calf and they should be returned to him. Folder 496
