Curatorial Remarks The Black Wall Street survivors series was created for the survivors to tell their stories about the human disaster of 1921 on the streets of Greenwood. The filming began on April of 1996. The bulk of the interviews were filmed inside the Mabel Little Heritage House, Greenwood Cultural Center, and at times, in the homes of the survivors.
