Curatorial Remarks

This appears to be a photograph of Thomas Moran's oil painting Solitude, which he exhibited at the National Academy of Design in 1897. Moran also created a lithograph with this title that is owned by the Gilcrease [14.635]. The painting is currently in a private collection.
