Mother Mary Teresa Farrell was the Mother Superior. The letter opens with Mother Farrell addressing Emma's recent bereavement. Mother Farrell then went on to say that they could receive Emma's sister and Mr. Boudinot's daughter. The fee for the session would be $90.00 for each little girl. The letter stated that half of the money was due up front and gave a list of items the girls would need to bring. Folder 408

Mary wrote from Tahlequah to her Aunt Emma apologizing for not keeping her promise to write faithfully. She informed her aunt that she did not have news or anything interesting to write about. Mary asked her aunt how she was getting along with her school and informed her that she doing first rate at her school and had a good boarding place. She told her aunt she did get lonesome sometimes and that she would like to see her this Christmas. Signed, "Affectionately, Mary". Folder 397

Moty Kanard, Principal Chief of the Creek Nation, wrote From Camp Porter to Colonel John Drew. Kanard's letter states that since Drew has not received his communication from Colonel Cooper that he would send what he received. Cooper requested that they take their men out on the prairie to meet him. Colonel McIntosh's regiment was going out that morning to meet him and he hoped that they would join them with their regiment. Folder 293
