Charles M. Russell, Fergus Mead, and Austin Russell on porch of Bull Head Lodge. Charles M. Russell in front of easel, working on 'In the Wake of the Buffalo Runners'. Ink smears and outlines in ink. There is a small piece of paper pasted to the back top of the photograph. Another tag mentions a page number. In ink and on a stamp, 'Trail's End Publishing Co., Inc.' claimed copyright in 1948. 'Photo must be returned to [illegible writing]'.
