Description

Letter came from the Treasury Department in Tahlequah, Indian Territory. Wm. West was the Sheriff of the Canadian District of the Cherokee Nation. The letter stated that Liper forwarded per mail a package containing blank forms for quarterly reports to be filled out on. Folder 470

Description Minutes are typed on Gibson Bros. letterhead. Meeting took place in Webbers Falls, Indian Territory at 8:00 p.m. D. W. McCorkle presided as temporary chairman. Minutes detailed the nomination and voting process for electing officers. C. C. Tittle was declared elected as nominee for Mayor. S. L. Milligan was elected as nominee for recorder. Geo. Starting June 18th the Missouri, Kansas, and Texas Railway would offer a daily solid train from all principal points in Texas, Indian Territory, Kansas, and Missouri to Chicago. The train would go from Houston, Texas to Chicago. This service was recommended for travelers headed to the World Fair. Folder 561
