Rejected Act of National Council to repeal Act of 1854 and reinstate Act of Nov. 5, 1851; also to appoint delegation to protect Cherokees living on neutral land (Kansas) and free Cherokees from abuses under Intercourse Law and oppressive operation of Federal Court in Van Buren. (Neutral lands disposed of under Treaty of 1866). Single sheet with handwritten text, in ink, on both sides. Folder 1387.

Starting June 18th the Missouri, Kansas, and Texas Railway would offer a daily solid train from all principal points in Texas, Indian Territory, Kansas, and Missouri to Chicago. The train would go from Houston, Texas to Chicago. This service was recommended for travelers headed to the World Fair. Folder 561
