Quincy Tahoma wears a Navajo blanket and a squash blossom necklace, with beads that evoke flowering squash plants. Navajo silversmiths likely adapted pomegranate motifs from Spanish clothing and equestrian regalia, but affiliated it with the blossom of an integral plant in Navajo culture–the squash.
