Description
R. E. Sumner, an attorney in Fort Smith, Arkansas, wrote to John T. Drew in Webbers Falls. Sumner explained to Drew that he was told if he got Jim out of jail he could have the horse, bridle, and saddle. Sumner thought the matter was settled and only later found out that the horse, bridle, and saddle were not Drew's property. However, it was too late because Sumner had already sold the pony to a gentleman who took it to Tennessee. Sumner asks if there was anything he could do to further...
