Description Folder 94 Curatorial Remarks Thomas Moran and Mary Nimmo Moran travelled throughout the British Isles in 1882, and visited Bolton, England, Thomas's birthplace. In this letter J. P. Thomasson of Bolton, mentions the Chadwick Museum, although it did not officially open until 1884. Its orgins, however, date to the founding of Bolton's first library in 1852.
